About Me

Welcome to Beauty4Peace

On this blog you will find inspiration in all things related to beauty,  global peace related topics, spa services, skin care , trading secrets from communities circling the globe , product reviews and master class skincare and makeup videos. My passion is 4 all things that make us feel refreshed, elegant, healthy and beautiful inside and out.!! Today is the beginning of a path toward beauty with passion, integrity and a sense of mission.

My mission statement: "I will bridge the gap between peace, elegance, beauty, nature and science. Leading the industry with integrity and passion for beauty."

My name is Callie and I live in LA with my husband. My passion for beauty began when I used to watch my mother pile on Chanel in her bathroom ( which looked more like a cosmetic counter in Nordstrom:)) when I was about 5 years old. This inspired me to unlock my inner artist and try playing with makeup. When I was only 10 years old and my grandmother took me to the Lancome counter and bought me my first full regime of skincare. Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing has been ingrained in me similarly to the way the brushing your teeth and doing your homework was to most of my friends. My first job in the industry was at Lancome in Macy's when I was 15 years old. ( I don't think that it was legal for them to even hire me, but they did:) ) My career in beauty has allowed me to work for a hand full of large beauty retailers such as Club Monaco Cosmetics, Aveda, The Body Shop and Space NK. When working for these companies I realized that it was important for me to recommend products that produced  results but were made with integrity.  A big part of my life is to give back to people and the environment,  because of that you will also find topics on environmental issues, humanitarian endeavors and education on this page as well.  Tune in daily for reviews and inspiration. Thank you to my friends and my husband for inspiring me to start this blog! Let's enjoy the journey together:) Callie

For those of you who don't know Callie, this is the type of amazing person she is: If you run into her at Sephora, she will take out her Hourglass makeup and with a whip and a twirl, begin beatifying your face using the latest techniques from the pros. Tada! Beauty is really her passion. So glad to have found my Soka beauty sister!

Callie! Congratulations on starting a beauty blog. I am so inspired by you. I look forward to all of your beauty-conscious, humanitarian, Callie posts!

Day 2: Reaching out to people in the field that you want to be in and asking for their valuable experience and advise......... I recently reached out to my favorite blogger and asked her what she thinks was the reasons for her success and what advice could she offer me starting out. Her response was so warm, clear and to the point. This really has helped me in creating a vision and action plan for my blogging. Wanted to share this to anyone who maybe stuck with the idea and dream in their head to actually taking some sort of action because you are overwhelmed where to start. That's where I was !!!! Hope this helps shed some light:) This was her response: Hi Callie!   My advice is to not worry about the end result and just do/make/post/share what is most interesting to you. When I started the blog, I had no idea it would lead to a book- I was just having fun with it, and I think that sort of came across to people and made it more fun an approachable to follow. Pacifica Giveaway

So this post is actually a draft that I never finished from the year 2013. Yes it was 6 years old just sitting in the Queue, and I when I saw it I said I got to dig this baby out and also share the update on Pacifica! Alot has happened since then. When  I first found Pacifica on shelves back then at my local supermarket it was candles and perfume and  now they don't make their candles anymore and focus on makeup, skincare and body-care. In 2013 I got the pleasure to meet the founder Brook Harvey- Taylor and then again this year 2018 I reconnected with her at a show. I guess this is one of those pinch me moments when I realize that I actually have come so far in my life and business goals and didn't even realize it! SURPRISE their is a GIVEAWAY of their products for you guys !!!  I was just shipped a box full of their new Crystal bath line and they want me to give it away to one lucky follower who is a mama and needs some serious Crystal Bath Rejuvenation!
