Spa Review: Santa Monica Willow Spa

I took this photo at the Botanical Gardens in Denver CO.
Today I am really excited to be attending a once a year event at my favorite spa in Santa Monica Willow Spa!
I used to live right across the street from this place for years and only discovered it once I was moving. This spa offers an exclusive treatment that no one else offers in LA called a  Japaneses Enzyme Bath.

When you arrive to Willow  it is as though you have entered a portal that leads you to a tropical garden in Hawaii or Thailand. There is a waterfall and plumeria trees and the house looks like a Hawaiian Tree House:). Converting this house into a spa has given it a sense of  warmth. I had to book this treatment because I was so intrigued. When I  arrived  I was shown to the back where they have you change into your robe and give you a enzyme drink ( that tastes like honey and I think it is a Japanese brand that is supposed to add with digestion) and some ginger tea served on a tray with a Hawaiian  Orchid.  You relax in their garden patio before your expert comes and briefs you on the treatment. Then you are shown into the baths. Normally when I think of a bath it has water.... but these had what looked like wood chips.
I hope this is description gives you a better idea of what it is like..................................................
Japanese Enzyme Bath is a deep heating treatment that was developed for Olympian athletes in Japan . It is a dry bath consisting of finely cut wood shavings made from a combination of rice bran and fruit and  vegetable enzymes. It has the potential to assist your body in its natural detoxifying process up to five times more effective.

I LOVED IT!!!!

I it a must try sometime. To finish the treatment I received  a Thai massage:) This is when I fell in love with willow spa:) I wanted to share one of LA's best kept secrets with you all:)

The event tonight will offer complimentary spa services, raffle prizes and vendors. I will be getting the facial:)
Last year I was so suprised that I won the big raffle and took home a  bag full of goodies with a value of $175. I will post pictures later tonight from the event and the latest products that I find tonight:) Stay tuned!!!!

Pacifica Giveaway

So this post is actually a draft that I never finished from the year 2013. Yes it was 6 years old just sitting in the Queue, and I when I saw it I said I got to dig this baby out and also share the update on Pacifica! Alot has happened since then. When  I first found Pacifica on shelves back then at my local supermarket it was candles and perfume and  now they don't make their candles anymore and focus on makeup, skincare and body-care. In 2013 I got the pleasure to meet the founder Brook Harvey- Taylor and then again this year 2018 I reconnected with her at a show. I guess this is one of those pinch me moments when I realize that I actually have come so far in my life and business goals and didn't even realize it! SURPRISE their is a GIVEAWAY of their products for you guys !!!  I was just shipped a box full of their new Crystal bath line and they want me to give it away to one lucky follower who is a mama and needs some serious Crystal Bath Rejuvenation! Weleda a Mama and Baby Friendly Green Line

This is me at work in Whole Foods El Segundo educating customers on a great German brand called Weleda. Have you heard of it? I have been using their Baby Calendula line on my son and he loves it. After each bath he ask for his lotion and wants  to apply it him self. In addition they have other products in their range such as body care and if you have been in search of a good green clean deodorant I have switched over to using their Rose Deodorant and it works and smells great. Let me know if you want to hear more about this brand and I will do a full post , but for now when you are out shopping in Whole Foods or your local natural market pull out your EWG Skin Deep App and look up their products for your family. -The Green Beauty Mom
