Spa Review: Santa Monica Willow Spa

I took this photo at the Botanical Gardens in Denver CO.
Today I am really excited to be attending a once a year event at my favorite spa in Santa Monica Willow Spa!
I used to live right across the street from this place for years and only discovered it once I was moving. This spa offers an exclusive treatment that no one else offers in LA called a  Japaneses Enzyme Bath.

When you arrive to Willow  it is as though you have entered a portal that leads you to a tropical garden in Hawaii or Thailand. There is a waterfall and plumeria trees and the house looks like a Hawaiian Tree House:). Converting this house into a spa has given it a sense of  warmth. I had to book this treatment because I was so intrigued. When I  arrived  I was shown to the back where they have you change into your robe and give you a enzyme drink ( that tastes like honey and I think it is a Japanese brand that is supposed to add with digestion) and some ginger tea served on a tray with a Hawaiian  Orchid.  You relax in their garden patio before your expert comes and briefs you on the treatment. Then you are shown into the baths. Normally when I think of a bath it has water.... but these had what looked like wood chips.
I hope this is description gives you a better idea of what it is like..................................................
Japanese Enzyme Bath is a deep heating treatment that was developed for Olympian athletes in Japan . It is a dry bath consisting of finely cut wood shavings made from a combination of rice bran and fruit and  vegetable enzymes. It has the potential to assist your body in its natural detoxifying process up to five times more effective.

I LOVED IT!!!!

I it a must try sometime. To finish the treatment I received  a Thai massage:) This is when I fell in love with willow spa:) I wanted to share one of LA's best kept secrets with you all:)

The event tonight will offer complimentary spa services, raffle prizes and vendors. I will be getting the facial:)
Last year I was so suprised that I won the big raffle and took home a  bag full of goodies with a value of $175. I will post pictures later tonight from the event and the latest products that I find tonight:) Stay tuned!!!!

Pacifica Giveaway

So this post is actually a draft that I never finished from the year 2013. Yes it was 6 years old just sitting in the Queue, and I when I saw it I said I got to dig this baby out and also share the update on Pacifica! Alot has happened since then. When  I first found Pacifica on shelves back then at my local supermarket it was candles and perfume and  now they don't make their candles anymore and focus on makeup, skincare and body-care. In 2013 I got the pleasure to meet the founder Brook Harvey- Taylor and then again this year 2018 I reconnected with her at a show. I guess this is one of those pinch me moments when I realize that I actually have come so far in my life and business goals and didn't even realize it! SURPRISE their is a GIVEAWAY of their products for you guys !!!  I was just shipped a box full of their new Crystal bath line and they want me to give it away to one lucky follower who is a mama and needs some serious Crystal Bath Rejuvenation! To enter head over

Day 2 : Want to start a blog !!!!!! Read this post for helpful tips

Day 2: Reaching out to people in the field that you want to be in and asking for their valuable experience and advise......... I recently reached out to my favorite blogger and asked her what she thinks was the reasons for her success and what advice could she offer me starting out. Her response was so warm, clear and to the point. This really has helped me in creating a vision and action plan for my blogging. Wanted to share this to anyone who maybe stuck with the idea and dream in their head to actually taking some sort of action because you are overwhelmed where to start. That's where I was !!!! Hope this helps shed some light:) This was her response: Hi Callie!   My advice is to not worry about the end result and just do/make/post/share what is most interesting to you. When I started the blog, I had no idea it would lead to a book- I was just having fun with it, and I think that sort of came across to people and made it more fun an approachable to follow. Tata Harper the 411 on her Nontoxic products

Tata Harper Product Review Here is the 411 on Tata Harper............... She is originally form Columbia. Her father got sick from cancer and the doctor asked to see all his cosmetic and grooming products. When he brought them in for the doctor to review he identified some key ingredients in the products that he was using that were known to cause cancer. Tata was with her father and thought of making her own line that was good for people, had no chemicals and had results.  Now she has a farm in Vermont where she grows all the flowers and herbs for her organic skin care line and produces it onsite as well.  It is so pure that most of her products only have a 6 month shelf life.  I met Tata Harper in Santa Monica and she told me this story herself.   Posted in the photos are 3 of her products that I love and want to share with you. The bottle on the left is Aromatic Bedtime treatment and on the right is Aromatic Stress Treatment. They are both aromatherapy oils that totally transf
